Hey Lana!
I personally always "gave a shit" about this game. I do think the competitions were good and I liked the end-game.
So here we go, a round-by-round detailed list to show you I cared:
ROUND 1 - Right off the bat, my strategy was basically to make sure I was safe round after round and, once we were down to like 7, start winning competitions and go to the end. To make sure I was safe, I was the only one who was online for the first live HoH, and I made sure I won the Safety Key, so I could go UTR and not get targetted in Week 1, which is a death warrent.
I also made an alliance with Naya. It was a loose alliance, but I knew we'd have each other's back. I won't lie, I could have been more involved early on, but the amount of inactives kinda suck the life out of this game. So I really just wanted to talk to the others a little, and make sure I stayed in this by being active. This is what I did.
ROUND 2 - I had previously connected with Glori-Anne to make sure I was safe if she were to win HoH, because she appeared to be a strong competitor. When she won, I was ecstatic. I knew I was safe for another week and that a bigger threat would go, in Sebastian. Unfortunatly, inactives oblige, Sebastian had to stay. I had heard he was trash-talking me, so I was disappointed, but it would turn out to be a good thing to see him stay for the game, later on.
ROUND 3 - I think this is where I can not only say I gave a shit, but I can prove it as well. I won the endurance HoH competition because I wanted to take control, for once. I mean, Chiaki can say she did and all, but I was the one working my ass off competition after competition to make sure I would win.
Ok, so at this point, I felt close to Glori-Anne, to Naya, and to you Lana as well. We had a very good conversation early on and I wanted you to stay. I had also exchanged a few words with Djimon and Sebastian and I didn't think they'd go after me. So I nominated Chiaki and Gage, based on lack of communication.
Chiaki and I were the only ones to show up at the live veto. I think that once again says a lot. She was nominated, she had her back against the wall. I was there because I gave a shit, because I wanted to play and make the most of this game.
After winning the veto, I used this as leverage to make sure Chiaki would be in my back-pocket. I knew she wasn't too good in challenges and that she was rather active. But I still felt like I was better than her in most ways. I also made sure she'd take all the punishments. That was a good strategic move because she got the nomination punishment which meant the HoH could only nominate one player and I knew I wasn't #1 on anybody's hitlist.
Putting Sebastian up was my way of making a substantial move. I had heard he was bashing me and that he was close to Grey, another strong player, so I decided to put him up. No matter who went, I didn't really care. If Sebastian goes, good, I'll have eliminated a power player. If it's Gage, an inactive will be out the door and I can go back to the anti-Sebastian crew with Chiaki and Glori-Anne.
ROUND 4 - That round, I went to Grey to cut a deal. I hadn't nominated her the previous week so I was really hoping she wouldn't either. I think that it made a difference because some people were publically going after her so she had bigger fish to fry. That was a mistake on her part.
ROUND 5 - A nice twist gave me a better chance to gain power again. at this point, only 6 of us are left and we are all active, so I can't hide behind anybody anymore. I had Chiaki and Naya still, but they aren,t the best in competitions so I wanted to make sure I could stay. Since Chiaki didn't even bother competing in the HoH (
), I won it.
This time, Grey and I had safety deals. And I wouldn't go back on my alliances with Naya and Chiaki. So I decided to put you and Sebastian on the block, really wanting Sebastian out of there for being a physical threat.
I think my veto win this time was particularly impressive. Andrew had forgot to open the boards for me so I started out with a huge disadvantage. But I was able toslowly bypass everybody and win.
At that point, Sebastian had expressed his desire to go after the girls, who were suppodedly in an alliance, and had preached his loyalty to me. After talking for a while, I grew much closer to him than to Grey and I trusted him way more than our "Please save me
" deals. So I decided to keep the physical threat who I knew who do what I wanted and I put Grey on the block, with the votes secured for you to stay.
ROUND 6 - I had previously won the DPoV in a competition vs... Chiaki, once again. So I knew I was safe this round. My objective was to eliminate you, Lana, because I had F2 deals with Chiaki and Naya and a F3 deal with Sebastian, and I knew they would do as I said. On the other hand, we weren't close, really.
So when it came down to the vote, I made sure you'd go, with Naya's vote.
ROUND 7 - I tried my hardest to win HoH, but I got confused on 2 questions and lost. I knew the PoV was crucial. Although I do think I'd have stayed if I lost it, I wanted to make sure Sebastian would go, because I felt like he was the only one who could beat me in the end and because I think he wouldn't have taken me if he were to win the Final HoH.
I had a big Economy exam the day right after the Veto. So I had to take time to do it, and to do it well, even though I had time issues in real life. I'm very proud of the PoV win because the instructions weren't too clear and it was a pretty hard puzzle but I aced it.
I secured my F2s with Naya and Chiaki, and eliminated Sebastian, although I had talked to him the most in this game.
ROUND 8 - Won an endurance challenge again, despite a proboards crash. I could have went on for an other hour at least, easily. And in Part 3, I knew Chiaki would answer the questions with some logic, so I answered all the first option, knowing it'd give me the advantage.
Sure, I could have taken Naya here because she didn't do much. But out of respect for Chiaki and out of respect for this game, I took Chiaki. I feel like I played the best game here and that I should win no matter who I'm up against.
Hopefully that covers it well
TL;DR version - I gave a shit with my numerous alliances, my multiple challenge wins, and my strategic game. OH and because I just wrote a 1279 words long summary of my game
